Trails as connections

Thank you for joining us!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2019 MassTrails Conference, 'Trails As Connections,' at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Leominster, October 31 - November 2. This conference is held every other year with the next one being held in the Fall of 2021. Please check back in the Spring of 2021 for updates on where and when the conference will be held.

Visit the Conference Archives section of this site to view a list of sessions offered at the 2019 and 2017 conferences, and to download copies of presentations slides.

who we are

The MassTrails Conference is hosted by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) in partnership with the Massachusetts Recreational Trails Advisory Board (MARTAB) with funding provided by the Recreational Trails Program / MassTrails.

Congratulations to Charlie Tracy for being awarded the 2019 MassTrails Award. Charlie recently retired from the National Park Service where he was a landscape architect guiding long-distance trail development including the New England National Scenic Trail. He's also an advocate for bringing art, culture, and the outdoors together. Charlie now works with the Connecticut Trails Census where his experience and love for trails will certainly be put to good use.
